Non-invasive geophysical survey of the Durupınar formation: GPR, ERT and LiDAR imaging with core sampling and chemical analysis, building a complete subsurface map of the formation.
Investigative Parameters
ERT and GPR scans in 2014, 2019 and 2021 revealed unusual linear subsurface structures and right angles within the formation. A 2023 analysis of the 2019 GPR survey mapped corridor- and room-like features running the full length of the structure, distinct from the surrounding natural geology.
In 2024, soil tests returned a notable result: samples from inside the structure held nearly three times more organic material than those from outside. Combined with GPR imaging of geometric patterns at depths of around 9 metres, the findings indicate that hypotheses of a naturally explainable geological formation and of a possible man-made origin both require further geophysical and geological verification.
The data is suggestive, not conclusive. Any further stage can only follow once the geophysical survey and core drilling are complete. This is a deliberate, evidence-first sequence.
